Searching for the future e-commerce solution

2012 might very well confirm a drive towards what could amount to be a trending movement where different platforms could converge.

Keywords such as innovation and internationalization are more often becoming part of our vocabulary. The reason for this is that international markets are becoming a necessity, rather than an option, to fill up the gap left by the local options for companies to sell their products and services.

Similar to the convergence of internet, TV and phones into one device, a major
undertaking is being developed to achieve the same objective of linking various elements together by using the power of social media at a large scale to connect people with brand content, which, in turn creates the need for platform synchronicity. While cloud computing eliminates the need for syncing, it is capable of achieving the same results but, in addition, it facilitates the sharing of content in a larger perspective as well as in more complex ways. Add to this formula the fact that geo marketing is increasingly the tool of choice for localized targeting, and the result is a tremendous innovating mix. It is important to remember, however, that in order to achieve the desired goals, introducing each element is not enough if implemented by itself, it will have to be part of a well designed and integrated system.

Ultimately, putting these elements together will achieve the much sought after design of the future e-commerce solution. This concept implies companies having to develop marketing strategies and infrastructures capable of delivering inside as well as outside of their national borders, and their key people should be skillful enough to connect their offers to their target markets in a unique way that would give them a clear advantage. The basic ingredient is the exercise of a certain amount creativity required to present products and services in a compelling way that has not been tried before, and make the whole process seem flawless.
