Heavy competition drives Fujitso - Toshiba merger in mobile phone market
Aiming to become the leading supplier in Japan, the merger is to be completed by October 1, 2010. So far, the two companies hace been supplying phones that are re-branded by others.
Based on the state of the japanese economy, more mergers like this one are expected.

Apple blocking rivals from accessing its apps
In an sudden move, Appple has decided to block some rival brands from accessing its apps.
One of these is iTunes which Palm Pre is able to synch with. This is one of the ways Palm was planning on going after Apple, even though it was predictably hard to do.
