Google is offering free phone calls from within the United States and people are taking advantage of this service. Some people have also placed calls from Europe to the States using PCs or other devices, and it seems there is no charge either. The idea is nice for the company, if it later will be used to gain a greater
voice audience, but regardless of how this will align with their other projects, right now it is just a great way to save on phone calls.
